Relay for Life at Oxford High School Stadium Tonight

The glow of candlelight symbolizes life tonight. Organizers predict around 5,000 people will attend the 14th annual Relay for Life cancer fundraiser, which starts at 7 p.m. at the Oxford High School football stadium. As sponsored team members run laps around the track, a vast array of luminarias will glow to celebrate cancer survivors and to commemorate victims who have died. The fund-raising goal this year is $280,000. Participation over the years has grown. Many volunteers will be at the stadium throughout the day today, setting up tents and hauling in grills.
