Granite Outcrop Hike

Anniston Museum invites you to celebrate Earth Day, Saturday, April 22, with a trip to the beautiful Almond Granite Outcrop in Randolph County. The rolling, moon-like surface of this Alabama natural wonder comes alive with an incredible variety of colorful wildflowers and unusual mosses and lichens. Museum Curator and Botanist Dan Spaulding leads this expedition and shares his knowledge of the flora and fauna of this most unique landscape.
