No Changes Imminent for Gamecocks’ "Voice"
Mike Parris has been the Voice of the Gamecocks for nearly 25 years and
has called all four of the school’s national championship victories. Even his JSU license plate reads “VOICE.” But school
officials are brainstorming for ways to generate revenue and improve the athletic department, and with broadcast obligations
now more than just football and basketball, Parris’ dual role may not best serve both masters. Athletic director Jim Fuller
said during the OVC semifinals in Nashville that no changes were imminent. See story at The Anniston Star's website: www.annistonstar.com.
