JSU Interfraternity Council Excels at SEIFC

JSU's Interfraternity Council brings it home at this year's Southeastern Interfraternity Conference (SEIFC).

Two members of our Greek Community, Emily Williams (Zeta Tau Alpha) and Kenny Reighard (Sigma Phi Epsilon) presented their program titled: “Gentlemen and Fraternities: Do the Two Coincide?” and received excellent evaluations from the 39 participants in their educational session.

Justin Lord (IFC VP of Judicial Affairs) received a Greek 101 Registration Scholarship. The JSU IFC will receive $160 from Greek 101 to put back into their programming efforts all in Justin’s honor. Congratulations J-LO!

Mardracus Russell (IFC Public Relations & Scholarship) was elected to the position of Area III Vice President of SEIFC. Area III is comprised of Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Mardracus will represent the 3 state areas on a board which has only 5 student members and 5 professional staff.

Finally, the JSU Interfraternity Council won an award for Interfraternal Relations and received Honorable Mention in 3 other categories. Other schools that won awards are: University of Miami, Samford, Georgia, Eastern Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, UT-Martin, LSU, Emory, etc.
