Blackboard Level II - Advanced Content Workshop

The Office of Distance Education is offering the Blackboard Level II - Advanced Content workshop for faculty, staff, and administrators at JSU. This workshop is intended to provide you with additional skills in the Blackboard e-learning software for your online, supplemental, or workshop course, and is intended for individuals who have already completed the Introductory Blackboard Workshop or its equivalent.

Topics for this workshop include:

  • Mastering advanced content addition (Learning Units, media files, & offline content) & item tracking

  • Tool Management

  • Course menu modification, including adding new content areas specific to your course

  • Gradebook setup, including automated and manual entry of Assignments & Tests

  • Adaptive Release, rules-based content deployment(NEW!)

  • Asynchronous communication/file exchange tools (Assignment Management System, Discussion Boards)
There is no fee for this workshop, and it is open to faculty, staff, and administrators who may be interested in using the Blackboard platform or who need a refresher with any of the topics described above.

The workshop will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 from 1:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m. Further information about this workshop will be provided upon registration. To register for this workshop, send an e-mail with a message to "Enroll in Bb Advanced Content" to Mark Camp.
