Growth Greater than Expected
Jacksonville State University’s Center for Economic Development released several statistical tidbits at the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce’s annual economic forum Thursday at McClellan’s Buckner Center; in its fourth year, the forum has become a highlight of the chamber’s annual meeting. Jacksonville State University professors Mark Hearn, a professor of business management at JSU, and Richard Cobb, a business professor at JSU, took the opportunity to discuss some of the trends and surprises inside this year’s economic statistics and air their concerns.
