Paige, speaking to students and faculty at Jacksonville State University Thursday morning and in the keynote address that afternoon at the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce Economic Forum, said the landmark federal education law passed in 2001 is key in the United States’ ability to compete in a global economy.
