“'Something Else' is open for all types of writers,” said Dr. Pitt Harding, faculty advisor of the club. “I encourage anyone wishing to submit their work to do so.”

Submissions will be accepted in the following genres:

  • Poetry (up to five poems per person)
  • Short Fiction (3000 word limit per piece)
  • Creative non-fiction (3000 word limit per piece)
  • Essays (3000 word limit per piece)
All students currently enrolled at JSU are eligible to submit their work for possible inclusion in the journal.

Members of the JSU Writers’ Club select the pieces that will appear in the journal. The works selected will be announced during the Spring 2006 Writers’ Club awards banquet and a courtesy copy of the journal will be presented to each contributor.
