Cell phone numbers will be listed in 411 directory assistance service for the first time in the near future. This may mean that marketers can call your cell phone number and thereby use up your available minutes at a direct cost to you. 

Registering your home or cell phone with the National Do Not Call Registry, at www.donotcall.gov, or by calling 1-888-382-1222 from the phone you wish to register, will block calls from out-of-state telemarketers for five years.
