JSU Would See Green
under Riley Proposal

Alabama colleges and universities stand to gain $125 million for construction, with $5.39 million going to Jacksonville State University, under Gov. Bob Riley’s proposal to spend part of an expected budget surplus. JSU president Bill Meehan welcomed Riley’s proposal and said it could help the school tackle new construction, as well as maintenance on older buildings that was skipped in leaner times.
