Volunteers Needed for 2006 Regional EnviroBowl Competition Jan. 24th

JSU's Environmental Policy and Information Center (EPIC) will host the 2006 Regional EnviroBowl Competition on Tuesday, January 24th beginning at 8 a.m. at Houston Cole Library (11th floor). The event, sponsored by Legacy, Inc. Partners in Environmental Education, tests the environmental knowledge of Alabama's high school students. Teams battle by answering questions on topics such as air quality, chemistry, ecology, forestry, geology, physics, pollution, water quality and wildlife.

EPIC needs JSU faculty/staff volunteers to be judges and moderators. EPIC also needs student volunteers to be scorekeepers and timekeepers.

This is a great opportunity to be part of an important and fun event. Each volunteer will receive a free t-shirt and lunch pass from Legacy.

For more information or to sign up to be a volunteer, please go to the Legacy website at www.legacyenved.org or you may call Valarie Williams in the EPIC office at 782-8010 or send e-mail to vwilliams@jsu.edu.
