Hook Up with Native Fishes of Alabama June 25

Have you ever peered into an Alabama lake or creek and thought, “I wonder what is down there?” Join JSU Ichthyologist Dr. Mark Meade and JSU Field Schools Renee Morrison to find out!

He’ll take you out to explore several different aquatic habitats in the Talladega National Forest where you will assist him with seign/netting and electroshock techniques to find a diverse collection of fish species. This is an absolutely fascinating and shocking experience!

Pre-registration is required. Transportation will be provided for a limited number of early registrants.

  • Location of Event: Meet at Frog Pond Talladega National Forest.
  • Admission Charge: $10 per person
