JSU Peer Educators Win Area 8/ Outstanding Program of the Year 2005

Jacksonville State University’s Peer Educators were awarded
Area 8/Outstanding Program of the Year for the third year in a row by the BACCHUS & GAMMA Peer Education Network. Area 8 consists of all colleges and universities within Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee.

An outstanding program is one that is creative and effective in accomplishing its goals (awareness, education, etc.). An outstanding program tends to target or impact a substantial portion of the campus community. This year BACCHUS & GAMMA recognized JSU’s Peer Educators for the “Arrive Alive in 2005” campaign which targeted the whole campus giving “friendly reminders” for being careful during semester breaks and wishing all members of the campus community a safe and happy return to JSU.
