Spring Wine & Rhododendron Festival April 22 - 23

White Oak Vineyards near Heflin will hold its first annual Spring Wine and Rhododendron Festival April 22 - 23. Rhododendrons are treasured and propagated for their intense colors and delightful forms. Special care and attention has been given to the White Oak Vineyard collection, which includes the prized Confederate series and specimens from all over the world, including England, other parts of Europe, as well as the United States. A main focus is on native and deciduous azaleas. During the festival you will be able to see, smell, and experience the gardens with tours and discussions of the plants and appropriate care. For more information, including directions, go to www.whiteoakal.com. You can  also taste a selection of fine wines, including French hybrid reds and whites, fruit wines such as blueberry and raspberry, as well as the south's favorite muscadine wines. White Oak  also offers a selection of muscadine juice, jellies, jams, sauces, and candles, as well as logo caps and shirts.
