Sen. Shelby Speaks at JSU March 12

25 February 2005 — U.S. Sen. Richard C. Shelby will address Calhoun County residents at a town meeting on Saturday, March 12, at 8:00 a.m. on the 11th floor of JSU's Houston Cole Library.  Sen. Shelby will discuss his legislative agenda for the 109th Congress and issues facing the nation and the state.  Following his remarks, Sen. Shelby will open the floor to questions and comments. 

Sen. Shelby said, “Over the years, these meetings have provided an excellent opportunity for area residents to listen and voice their opinions on the activities of our government."

Sen. Shelby has held over 1200 county meetings since being elected.  He holds a meeting in each county once a year.
