Alabama Conference for Inventors Scheduled for March 2005

17 February, 2005 — Inventors and experts from around the country will gather on March 3 for the Alabama Conference for Inventors. The conference, sponsored by the Jacksonville State University Center for Economic Development, the Small Business Development Center, and INVENT ALABAMA will be held at JSU's Houston Cole Library.

All inventors are welcome and encouraged to attend the conference, which is aimed at helping eliminate some of the barriers to successful inventing as well as providing inventors with good ideas for furthering their ideas. Experts will address a variety of topics: patents, research, intellectual property laws, product evaluation, licensing, product liability, and much more.

Conference speakers will include a representative from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, patent attorneys, inventors and other experts with experience in the invention process. One-on-one sessions are also planned in which participants can meet with many of the speakers.

The conference fee is $49 per participant and includes lunch, breaks, and conference materials. The deadline for registration is Monday, February 28. For more information about the conference contact the Center at 782-5324 or click on CED Conferences at www.jsu.edu/depart/ced.
