Randy Wilson joins JSU News Bureau

7 February 2005 — Randy Wilson has joined the Jacksonville State University News Bureau as a student staff writer. A native of Tifton, Ga., Wilson is a senior majoring in history and English and is president of the JSU Writers Club. Wilson is also a member of the JSU History Club, for which he served as president from 2002 to 2004. Wilson designed writing contests for JSU students and for students at Kitty Stone Elementary.   Wilson says he plans to pursue a master’s in English while working on his first novel Tuscus. “I really enjoy the art of writing,” he said. “Many people consider writing to be a chore, but for me it’s a passion. I would rather be working on a good story or poem than be found lamenting over a TV.” He said he feels one of the best things about writing for the News Bureau is the opportunity to meet new people and enhance his writing abilities.
