Cell Phones for Transplant Patients

31 January, 2004 — Jacksonville State University students are collecting used cell phones to benefit people waiting for organ transplants and who might need to make an emergency call.

The JSU Freshman Forum is conducting its third annual Project Valentine through February 28. Members will be collecting used cell phones for organ transplant patients in case they need to make life-saving 911 phone calls for free.

Old cell phones can be turned over to the Office of Student Life, 402 Theron Montgomery Building, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Please make sure the cell phones have batteries and chargers.
