Edible Plants Workshop is April 10

Northeast Alabama's natural cuisine of spring is the topic of a Little River Canyon Field School workshop beginning at 9 a.m. on April 10 at DeSoto State Park.

Botanist Francine Hutchinson will teach how to identify, collect, and prepare many edible plants. The morning session will involve ethical, legal, and sustainable collecting, and the afternoon session will focus on preparation.

Participants should bring lunch and be prepared for light hiking. Pre-registration is required.
