Dr. Jackson to Speak in Anniston |

by Sherry Kughn JSU News Bureau March 1, 2004 -- Accent on the Author will present Harvey H. Jackson III in a book signing/reception sponsored by the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County and The Anniston Star on Wednesday, March 17. Dr. Jackson is professor and head of the history department at Jacksonville State University. He is the author of "Gone South," a column in The Anniston Star and has written several books. His latest, Inside Alabama: A Personal History of My State, will be the topic of a brief speech at The Anniston Star. The event begins at 5:15 p.m. Dr. Jackson will speak at 5:45. Heavy hors d'oeuvres will be served at the signing. Tickets should be purchased in advance at the library before March 15 at noon. Cost is $5. |
