Chamber Singers to Perform
with Butler University Chorale
and Madrigal Singers

February 24, 2004 -- The Butler Chorale of Indianapolis, Indiana will combine with the Jacksonville State University Chamber Singers for a free concert at The Church of St. Michael and All Angels in Anniston at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 11.

The Butler Chorale, the premier vocal ensemble of Butler University's Jordan College of Fine Arts, has gained a reputation for quality performances of a wide variety of styles of choral literature. The ensemble represents Butler University in numerous on and off campus performances, and in regular regional, national, and international tours. Under the leadership of Dr. Eric Stark, the Chorale is comprised of students from the various music degree programs of the Jordan College of Fine Arts, and students from the colleges of pharmacy, liberal arts and sciences, education, and business. Membership in the chorale is through a competitive annual audition.

Each December, the Chorale serves as the musical "host" for Butler's annual Rejoice! holiday concert, seen by a live audience of approximately 2000 and by a television audience on WTBU, Butler's public broadcast television station.
