JSU Jazz Ensemble I was awarded BEST BAND at the 1st Annual Alabama Jazz
Hall of Fame Collegiate Jazz Festival earlier this month.This competition
featured college bands from virtually every school in the state as well as
several others from the southeast.
For this honor, JSU Jazz I will receive an inscribed plaque in the Alabama
Jazz Hall of Fame listing the name of the director, Dr. Chip Crotts, and
JSU Jazz Ensemble I. Dr. Frank Adams, director of the Jazz Hall of Fame,
said it was "one of the best college bands he's heard in years!"
