JSU Peer Educators Win Area 8 Program of the Year |
 April 23, 2003 -- The Jacksonville State University Chapter of Bacchus & Gamma, better known as the JSU Peer Educators, in only their second year as an organized group, has been named Area Eight Program of the Year. Area Eight includes universities from Alabama, such as Auburn, Alabama, South Alabama. Also universities from Tennessee, Memphis University, University of Tennessee, Mississippi, such as Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and a variety of other schools. The Peer Educators were recognized at a special Awards Ceremony held on earlier this month in the Gamecock Center of Stephenson Hall. The Peer Educators for the 2002-2003 academic year are : Melissa Criswell Lindsey McWilliams Natasha Cunningham Ashley Orton Willie Diggs Krychell Parker Leah Goggans Erin Smith Heather Horn James Vasquez Alesha Ingram Sonquez Williams Toccara Johnson LaToya Granger - was called to serve active duty in the military The advisors are: Rickey Naugher, Fred Mays and Todd Prater, all from Counseling and Career Services. |
