JACKSONVILLE -- May 3, 2002 --
The seminar scheduled for May 8th, featuring Dr. William H. Bass, has been
canceled. Dr. Bass has had a heart attack. Sponsored by the Alabama
Professional Investigators Association (APIA), the professional development
seminar was to have been held in Birmingham. Dr. William H. Bass, professor
emeritus at the University of Tennessee and one of the nation's top
forensic anthropologists, was scheduled to discuss research findings from
the University of Tennessee's "Body Farm."
