CABARET

Music by John Kander, Lyrics by Fred Ebb, Book by Joe Masteroff, Based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood. An American writer ventures to pre-war Berlin searching for inspiration for his second novel. He finds that inspiration in the people he meets at the Cabaret called the Kit Kat Club. There in the cabaret, a cross-section of Berlin life--the flotsam and jetsam of a doomed city, he meets Sally Bowles. Songs you will remember are "Don't Tell Mama," "The Money Song," "Tomorrow Belongs to Me," and "Cabaret."

A musical play about the noted Virginia Civil Rights activist in 1831. Written and directed by Alabama State University's Associate Professor of Theatre, Dr. Anthony Sweeting.
