JACKSONVILLE -- January 18, 2002 --
Jodi Burke, of Carmin Industries in Jacksonville, presents JSU President Bill
Meehan a souvenir from the Houston Cole Library -- a marble replica of the
State of Alabama cut from a panel removed from the building. The company
specializes in high pressure waterjet cutting and metal fabrication. Carmin
President Carolyn Minerich said she employs JSU students and graduates,
"and our company would not be able to grow without JSU." She said she felt
something special should be done with a few pieces of the marble for the
sake of history.
