A Cappella Choir To Sing |

JACKSONVILLE -- January 9, 2002 -- A Cappella Choir has been invited to perform at the Alabama Music Educators In-Service Convention on Thursday, January 17, 2002. A Cappella Choir is under the direction of Dr. Patricia Corbin, Director of Choral Activities at Jacksonville State University. The choir will be performing at 1:00 p.m. in the Moody Music Building on the campus of the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. The choir will be performing selections by Mozart, Bruckner, Chilcott and Powell. They will end the program by joining forces with the JSU Brass choir to perform John Rutter's Gloria. On Tuesday, January 15, 2002 A Cappella Choir will be performing this program at a preview concert at First Baptist Church of Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. The church is located at 230 7th Street NE in Jacksonville and is free and open to the public.
