Kaleidoscope Event Features Children's Musicals

JACKSONVILLE -- March 2, 2001 -- Kaleidoscope, a festival of the arts presents the Storybook Theatre Company of Greensboro, North Carolina, under the direction of JSU Drama graduate, Eric Traynor. The company will be presenting their musical versions of "The Three Pigs" and "Little Red Riding Hood" (children's musicals) on Saturday, March 10.

"The Three Pigs" is a completely original adaptation with fun music that they can sing, dance and clap along with. The comically inept Woofy tries to get the three little piggies. Recommended ages: up to eight. The show begins at 9:30 a.m.

In "Little Red Riding Hood", Woofy comes back to pester Red. The play includes a comical rap song, a soft shoe, a country ballad, and much more. Join us as Woofy and sidekick Herry Hyena try to trick Red out of a basket of goodies. Recommended ages: nine and up. The show begins at 11:30 a.m.

Tickets are $4 each (adults and children) for each show, and reservations are recommended. Call 256-782-5648 for reservations.
