Theron "Tem" Montgomery To Speak at Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County


JACKSONVILLE -- February 1, 2001 -- Theron "Tem" Montgomery will be speaking at the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County Tuesday, March 6, 2001 at 12 noon. Mr. Montgomery will be discussing some of his works and his life as a writer.

A native of Jacksonville, Alabama, Theron Montgomery has published over a dozen short stories. He has worked for The Jacksonville News, The Anniston Star, and The Gadsden Times. He has served as Founding Editor for the Alabama Literary Review, Chief Editor for the Alabama English Journal, as a Founding Board member of the Alabama Writers' Forum, and also a member of the Southern Literary "Task Force" for the National Endowment for the Arts. He presently teaches English and creative writing at Troy State University. Three of his stories can be read online at www.anniston.lib.al.us.

Tickets for the luncheon are $10.00 and may be purchased at the Public Library. Seating is limited.
