Art Exhibition "Ceramics Embellished" Features Art Works of Lynnette Hesser and Steve Loucks |

By Jennifer G. Ledbetter JSU News Bureau JACKSONVILLE -- January 19, 2001 -- Jacksonville State University is having an art exhibition in Hammond Hall Gallery through January 26. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The exhibition is entitled "Ceramics Embellished" and will consist of art works by Lynnette Hesser in collaboration with Steve Loucks. This husband and wife team enjoy working together to create something different than the work they do individually. Their work is unique because of the teamwork involved. First Steve creates a form on the potters wheel and then gives it to Lynnette to carve. After Lynnette has carved her unique designs, Steve takes the piece to glaze and fire to enhance her carvings. Admission is free and everyone interested is invited to view the exhibit. |
