Westinghouse Anniston and JSU
to Present Workshop

Westinghouse Anniston and Jacksonville State University's Small Business Development Center will present an informational workshop, How to Do Business with Westinghouse Anniston, on Wednesday, December 10, from 8:30 - 11:30 a.m. at the Anniston City Meeting Center at 1615 Noble Street. The workshop will provide small businesses with information about how to do business with Westinghouse Anniston and the federal contracting registration process.

Westinghouse Anniston, the primary contractor at the Anniston Chemical Agent Disposal Facility, invites those interested in doing business with the company to attend the workshop and receive information on bidding and quoting requirements for contracting opportunities.

This workshop is open to the general public, and there is no charge to attend. Westinghouse Anniston and JSU’s Small Business Development Center representatives will provide individual counseling sessions throughout the morning.

Westinghouse Anniston has a long history of involvement with small business, small disadvantaged business, and women-owned small business subcontracting. In 1963, Westinghouse Anniston’s parent company was in the original group of defense prime contractors to participate in the Voluntary Small Business Subcontracting Program sponsored jointly by the Department of Defense and the Small Business Administration. The company’s Minority Business Subcontracting Program was started in 1972.
