2008 Art Faculty Exhibition Runs November 4-25

The Hammond Hall Gallery proudly announces the opening of The Jacksonville State University 2008 Art Faculty Exhibition on Tuesday, November 4 and runs through November 25. The public is invited to join us at the opening reception Tuesday night from 7 to 9 p.m. to view the work of our talented and distinguished faculty.

Among the exhibits are works by:

Phil Kessler, artistic presentation of the words of a poem combined with imagery Marvin Shaw,  assemblages and prints Carter Osterbind,  oil paintings Anita Stewart, abstract wooden sculpture and macro photography Laverne Lombardi,  woven transparency and woven rug Ron Baker, paintings of mixed media and collage elements Diana Cadwallader. Intimate drawings of personal objects Lee Manners; watercolor paintings inspired by quilts and neckties Lynnette Hesser; three-dimensional, carved, hand-built and assembled multi-glazed ceramics Steve Loucks; ceramics Jauneth Skinner, prints.

Also included in this exhibit are works by Betty Mills Groover, and Doug Clark.


This is an opportunity to see the work of the new faculty in the department, Anita Stewart, Sarah Cusimano Miles, Allison McElroy and our new Head of Department, Jauneth Skinner as well as Emeritus Professors, Lee Manners and Charles Groover.

Gallery Hours are Monday through Friday - 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
All exhibits are free and open to the public.
