Hosts Faith and Reason Lecture

 

 

  Is faith an absence of thought? Dr. Martin Erdmann of the University Hospital in Basel, Switzerland, will present an address entitled, “The Pursuit of Rationality in the Post-Modern Age.” This open lecture, sponsored by JSU student organization, Campus Outreach, will be held at Leone Cole Auditorium on September 25th at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. in the auditorium prior to the lecture.

 

Dr. Erdmann received his doctoral degree in Modern American Church History from Brunel University, Uxbridge, England.  In his current position as Senior Scientist at the University Hospital, he is currently involved in researching the ethical implications of nanotechnology. Dr. Erdmann is also the department head of Historical Theology at the Academy for Reformation Theology in Hannover, Germany.
