Students Prepare Victoria Campaign

Four seniors in JSU's department of communications completed their COM440 project, Public Relations Campaign Management, and presented their report on April 15 in the Gold Room to Mr. James Rice, General Manager of The Victoria Inn; and Ms. Melanie Delap, Executive Director of the JSU Foundation. Also attending were Dr. Augustine Ihator and Dr. Jeffrey Hedrick, professors in the department of communications. The seniors' project was to create a public relations program for The Victoria Inn. Their excellent presentation included specific event ideas, recommendations for communication outlets such as magazines, and working with the media. In addition to these suggestions, evaluation techniques were discussed to identify which public relations techniques are the most successful.
