Spring Civic Chorale Concert
Will Feature Rutter's Requiem,
Pieces by Mendelssohn

The Calhoun County Civic Chorale will perform their spring concert on Sunday, April 19 at 3 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 1400 Noble Street, Anniston.

The featured work is the Requiem by John Rutter as well as two smaller works by Felix Mendelssohn.

The Calhoun County Civic Chorale is one of five choral ensembles sponsored by the David L. Walters Department of Music at Jacksonville State University. It is led by JSU Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Patricia Corbin.

The Chorale is comprised of community members as well as JSU students and faculty and performs masterworks of choral literature each semester. The Chorale will be accompanied by Vicki Brock, as well as a small instrumental ensemble of students and professional musicians. Brock is also the organist at Parker Memorial Baptist Church in Anniston. JSU student Jessica Roberts will be a featured soloist.

This concert is free and open to the public.
