FCS Offers Innovative Courses
During Summer Terms

Family and Consumer Sciences will offer several innovative courses during Summer 2009.

For instance, FCS 131 Clothing Construction will be offered during Summer II. It's a great time to learn to make and mend clothes to save big $$. Another option is Family Housing and Interiors, FCS 471. This class offers an overview of present day family housing needs including location, space needs and house construction and selection. These are useful skills, whether used personally to choose and furnish your home, or to help increase your profit margin with real estate investment opportunities.

FCS will also offer FCS 326, Food Safety and Sanitation, during the May term. This is an introduction to food borne illnesses and safe food preparation practices, and regulatory laws for foodservice establishments.

FCS 458, Research and Statistical Methods will be taught in Summer II. This course covers methods and basic skills for conducting, analyzing and interpreting research.
