Stealth Politics:
Former U.S. Congressman, JSU Professor Emeritus
Featured in Current Issue of Thicket Magazine

"Glen Browder thinks our civil rights history is missing something," begins journalist Mark Kelly in "Stealth Politics: Glen Browder on Race and Politics in Alabama," published in the March-April 2009 edition of Thicket magazine.

That something is a narrative of decades of "stealth reconstruction," which Browder says molded much of the political climate of the modern South. The former Congressman and JSU Professor Emeritus has written on the politics of race in two of three books to be published this year by New South.

The South's New Racial Politics: Inside the Race Game of Southern Political History will be published in April, followed by the summer release of Stealth Reconstruction: The Untold Story of Southern Politics and History. In the fall, Browder's biography/memoir, Professor-Politician, written with former Anniston Star journalist Geni Certain, will be released.
