Safe Spring Break 2009

The JSU Peer Educators, Counseling and Career Services, JSU Campus Bookstore and University Housing and Residence Life are teaming up to present several events on March 9-10 as part of the Bacchus Network's Safe Spring Break Campaign.

The purpose of these events is to get our campus ready for the fun of spring break while reminding students to make positive choices for their own health and safety.

On Monday, March 9 at 7 p.m. in Leone Cole Auditorium, Comedian Bernie McGrenaham will serve up laughs at Happy Hour Comedy.

The Los Angeles Daily News has called Bernie McGrenahan "the most important comedian in the country today." His tour addresses one of biggest substance abuse problems on college campuses: high-risk drinking. McGrenahan combines stand-up comedy with an important message about alcohol awareness.

On Tuesday, March 10 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. in the front parking area of TMB, there will be a fatal vision goggles golf cart driving course, an information table and free sodas.
