Be First in Line for First Pitch Luncheon

The First Pitch Luncheon, featuring Jacksonville State head baseball coach Jim Case and head softball coach Jana McGinnis will be on Monday, February 9, at the Gamecock Center.

The luncheon is free, but limited to the first 75 fans who call the JSU Athletic Department and pre-register. Golden Rule Bar-B-Q and Grill will provide the lunch, which begins at noon.

Lunch will feature the OVC Coaches of the Year in both baseball and softball, while several members of both teams will help serve the meal.

Coach McGinnis led the Gamecock softball team to the NCAA Tuscaloosa Regional Championship game last year after winning the OVC Regular-Season and the OVC Tournament Championship last season.

Coach Case was named the OVC Baseball Coach of the Year after leading the Gamecocks to the OVC Regular-Season Championship with an OVC record with 23 conference wins. It was JSU’s sixth straight 30-win season and the fourth OVC Baseball Championship since joining the league in 2004.
