Most Surprising Thing About College Life:

The most surprising part of college has been how much I’ve grown as a person. I didn’t realize how much my interactions with my peers and my courses would redefine who I am now.

How She Knew that JSU was the Right Fit:

I knew JSU was right for me because the campus was so welcoming and accepting of me. I found my place very easily and knew I had found the right place for me.

Favorite Thing to Do Outside of Class:

Outside of class, I like to take my dog Riley on runs around campus or Chief Ladiga Trail. I love shopping and spending time with my friends as well.

Favorite Class:

My favorite class has been Contemporary African American Writers. It was taught by a visiting professor who was so kind and thoughtful with all of his lessons.

Favorite Meal in the 'Ville:

My favorite place to eat in Jacksonville is The Rocket. I know anytime I need some home cooked food, I know the place to go!

Favorite JSU Moment:

My favorite JSU moment was my first ever performance with the Marching Southerners as a Ballerina. It was so exciting to hear all the fans cheer for us and be doing something I love more than anything!

Advice for New Students:

Get involved! The more involved you are on campus the more JSU feels like home. It is an easy way to make friends and find people who are interested in the same things as you are!
