LSAC Prelaw Undergraduate Scholars (PLUS) Program – The University of Alabama
Mr. Orozco participated in the LSAC PLUS Program at the University of Alabama in 2019. The paid four-week summer program is designed to prepare students for law school or a career in the legal profession by helping them to develop essential core competencies needed to succeed in these areas.
During his presentation to our Pre-Law Society, Mr. Orozco shared that the faculty and staff were exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. Some of his experiences included the Roundtable Lunch with Faculty, Dress for Success Workshop, Legal Writing and Analysis, Introduction to the U.S. Legal System, Networking 101, Survey of Law (Property, Environmental, Employment, Business Organizations, Torts, Family, and Evidence Law), Trial Advocacy, Law School Admissions in a Nutshell, LSAC Modules, and the Alabama Supreme Court. There were field trips to the U.S. Space and Rocket Center, Equal Justice Initiative, Bradley Arant and Civil Rights Museum, Tuscaloosa County Jail, and the Tuscaloosa Federal Courthouse.
