Ms. Mead has over thirteen years of experience working with government contracts and grants. Prior to joining the Office of Sponsored Programs, Jennifer worked for six years with the Collaborative Regional Education (CORE) Project at JSU, where she was the Conference Coordinator. In that role, she planned professional development activities for educators while building relationships with CORE partners, which included K-12 partners, regional university partners, and private vendors. Before joining JSU in 2014, Jennifer worked as a contractor for the US Department of Homeland Security where she managed an outreach program and traveled throughout the country recruiting first responders for training.
Jennifer is a two-time graduate of Jacksonville State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing (2004) and a Master of Public Administration (2017).
