The vistas are beautiful, but the hiking can be exhausting.
Climbing the 7000-ft. mountain is challenging. Did this hiker make a bad choice in footwear?
Another hiker who wore the wrong shoes....
Sulpher gases swirl around the top of the volcano.
The journey gets tougher as the group negotiates this old lava flow which cooled, cracked and turned into sharp rocks.

The group remains a safe distance from the hot vents.
It was good to get back to the motel. Olander snapped this view of the walkway, a welcome contrast to the nearby jungle.
How exhausting was it? Look at the hikers' sweat-soaked clothing.
Miracle Grow? Naahh... They just spring up everywhere.
