Tom has worked in the field of recreation for over 20 years. He has been an Assistant Professor of Sport Management & Recreation at JSU since 2015. Prior to JSU he lived in Idaho where he taught recreation management at BYU-Idaho, managed the BYU-Idaho Outdoor Learning Center, and coordinator of youth, senior & non-credit programs for BYU-Idaho. He also worked for the City of Rexburg as Events/Program Coordinator. He holds an Ed.D in Education from University of Idaho, a Master’s degree in Adventure Education from Prescott College, and an undergraduate degree from Utah State University. He is a father of five and an avid misplaced Nordic skier.
