Dr. Overton started his tenure at JSU in 2014. During his career he has served as a Collegiate Athletic Director and as a Collegiate Dean. Dr. Overton has published over 60 articles, authored over a dozen sport manuals, delivered over 40 presentations, and lectured in six continents. He has initiated and collaborated on International Memorandum of Understandings and developed Sport Management programs at five different institutions. Recently, his Graduate Sport Management program at JSU was ranked the best public institution in the United States.
