Dr. Allegra W. Smith (she/her/hers) is a member of the professional writing faculty who specializes in technical communication, information design, and online writing instruction. Her scholarship on user and learner experience has been published in the proceedings of the Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group on the Design of Communication (ACM-SIGDOC), Technical Communication, and the Journal of Global Literacies, Technologies, and Emerging Pedagogies. Her main research project focuses on improving digital user experiences and information literacy for older adults aged 60+.
