Elementary Education Alternative A Program
The Elementary Education K-6 Alternative A Program is designed for you if you want to teach in an elementary classroom and you have a previous degree in an academic discipline other than education. Eligibility for the Alternative-A Program includes a 2.75 GPA in the previously earned undergraduate degree, completion of ED 300, advisement in the Teacher Education Services Center, and satisfaction of any undergraduate deficiencies as required by the ALSDE code.
- A combination of face-to-face, online, and hybrid graduate level courses in elementary teaching methods
- Clinical Experiences in a variety of elementary education settings
- Specialty courses include assessment, 21st century teaching, and classroom management
