Special Education: Collaborative Education K-6 and 6-12 Master's Program Alternative A

The Collaborative K-6 & 6-12 Master's Program is designed for for you if you want to teach in a special education classroom and you have a previous degree in an academic discipline other than education. Eligibility for the Alternative-A Program includes a 2.5 GPA in the previously earned undergraduate degree, completion of ED 501, advisement in the Teacher Education Services Center, and satisfaction of any undergraduate deficiencies as required by the ALSDE code. 

  1. Collaborative methods for math and reading
  2. Assistive technology, assessment, and behavior analysis 
  3. Fully online courses with practicums in teaching field 

You can successfully complete the online Collaborative K-6 & 6-12 Master's Program and be eligible for Alabama Class A Teacher in K-6 and 6-12 Collaborative certifications.  For more information and to get started on your way toward earning this degree, please contact Dr. Teresa Gardner.
