Communication: Digital Journalism

Digital Journalism Student taking notes

Digital Journalism is the discovery, gathering and dissemination of reports of events of interest to a journalist’s readership or viewership. We have let our digital journalism students know that, more than ever before, they must not only write succinctly, but they should be adept at verbal communication and video editing. Most journalists begin as news reporters, so our training is focused on making sure our students know how to be objective, fair, balanced and as accurate as possible. However, these ethical precepts do not just go away when other genres of journalism are pursued.
