Applying for admission to Jacksonville State University is as easy as 1-2-3!
We strongly encourage you to apply six to nine months prior to the expected date of enrollment.
It is your responsibility to see that your high school or college transcript and ACT/SAT scores are submitted. These documents must be mailed to JSU directly from the high school (for high school transcripts), college (for college transcripts), or testing agency (for ACT/SAT scores). Decisions regarding admissibility to the University will be made as soon as all necessary credentials are received in the Office of Admissions.
* Students who have not attended secondary school in 8 or more years, or are 25 years of age are exempt from this test score requirement.
**GPA will be taken from the final high school transcript provided to the Admissions Office after graduation. Students will be provisionally admitted until the final high school transcript has been received by the Admissions Office. Once the final transcript has been received, the GPA will be calculated and must meet the required minimum for admission. In lieu of the high school transcript, successful completion of the GED is acceptable.
